Covering Records of Online
Activity Left on Your Hard Drive by the Firefox Browser
Mozilla.org's Firefox
browser contains excellent built-in privacy features. You can quickly
delete traces of your online activity by going to TOOLS > OPTIONS >
PRIVACY > CLEAR ALL.
Note, however, your tracks are insecurely deleted. Inexpensive
software recovery tools can easily uncover your tracks.
The files you need to wipe to securely delete your Firefox
browser tracks are listed below. You need to change "Your Profile Name"
to match your own Windows installation. Also, the folder called
"9k342x66.default" will be different for every user. Adjust as
necessary.
All of the files and folders are located in this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Profile Name\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\9k342x66.default
